Daily Devitions is project for Kalos Church's sermon series in January 2024. Due to time constraints, the entire project from concept to final execution took place over five business days. Because of the short time span everything from layout, modeling, texturing, and lighting needed to be streamlined.

Text extracted from photos via Google Lens
Google Lens expidited the process of extracting text. Instead of typing entire passages of scripture, I took photos of block each block of text. I then had Google Lens extract the text and send it straight to my computer's clipboard so that I could paste it in Illustrator.
Layout was designed in Illustrator using character & paragraph styles for each section. Those pages were blended in Photoshop to create the thin paper effect (highlighter bleeding through the back of the page). From there the passages were brought into Substance Designer to apply the paper texture, creases, and mild grunge. The passages were put on a color switch so that I could easily toggle inside Substance Painter. The UVs of the Bible fbx were laid out so that the gold page texture would properly wrap around the edges of the Bible and into the binding.
